Accommodation: Kaliklatak Plantation Guest House or similar
Day 2: Ijen Crater Trekking – Return to Bali (B, L)
Wake up early at 03.00 AM for your Mount Ijen trekking adventure. After a 1.5-hour drive to the base, begin your ascent to the crater, passing through clove and rubber plantations. Mount Ijen is famously known as the “Sulfur Mountain”, home to sulfur miners who brave tough conditions to collect solidified yellow sulfur crystals.
From the crater rim, witness breathtaking views of the turquoise acid lake below and the steaming volcanic vents. After the hike, return to the hotel for breakfast and a quick shower before checking out.
Then we head back to Bali, again crossing the strait by ferry. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant en route. On the way back to your hotel, we’ll make a short stop at Rambut Siwi Temple, beautifully located on a cliff overlooking the sea. Arrival at your hotel is expected in the evening.
